Part of me believes Obama is so out of touch with reality it's not even funny anymore.

But the other part of me believes this is all part of the plan.

    • SpaceRacer423 says:

part of me is scared he's right.

An uneducated voting block is Obama's only chance.

      • Hank_Scorpio says:

Oh you can be educated and still uninformed

        • Markg55 says:

Yes Hank. feelings without rational thought often comes back and bites one in the keester.

      • ObamaBoi says:

The more I look around on other sites, the more I realize we're way past critical mass with dumbed-down voters. Be worried, be Barry, Barry worried. He's gonna legalize pot in Oct. We'll be talking landslide, then.

        • Heza Fraud says:

Yep. That's how he'll haul in a net overflowing with Ronulan "carp."

          • ObamaBoi says:

Think so? I do. Democrat politics has shown us for years that if you appeal to the baser compulsions/instincts in your electorate, they will come. Today, we are all Breitbart Paulestinians!

        • SpaceRacer423 says:

          I doubt it.

If pot heads voted in force it would have been legalized years ago.

**cough cough** "Dude, werent we supposed to do something today????"

BTW – Im all for legalizing it, and would STILL vote against Barry.

          • ObamaBoi says:

Poor excuse for stupid but it's your stupidity.

            • Patriot2Opine says:

It is so much easier to take a bullet to the head when numbed through "such a natural substance". This legalization ugly string just keeps coming. Why stop with the nefarious weed? Just legalize it all and perhaps we'll find more cases of face eaters and a rapid decrease in the population without having to commit infanticide.

Sorry about the dark comment but damn…

              • ObamaBoi says:

Good morning, P. The correct answer to the situation will never be embraced.

                • Patriot2Opine says:

"If it feels good do it." we should add, "screw the potential outcome".

                • ObamaBoi says:

In the late 60s and early 70s when the civil rights movement was hitting its stride, one often-heard mantra that I used to hear continually mocked was, "I know my rights!" 'Course it usually was coming from someone who had no clue about the difference between rights and desires. Some things will never change, it appears.

                • Patriot2Opine says:

What? Rights aren't desires? Well then I don't desire the federal government give my hard earned wages to someone I don't know. I would prefer to give them to someone I think needs them. I know my rights. At least the inalienable ones.

                • ObamaBoi says:

LOL I've missed your sagacity, P.

                • Patriot2Opine says:

Awe shucks… scratches toe, hides red face, thanks bro.

A word that would be completely lost on the left. But people like Alan Combs would say, old folks have plenty of sagging.

              • SpaceRacer423 says:

                Excuse me-
How is weed any worse that alcohol?
                Both will numb your brain.

                my stupidity?

I'm the one smart enough to know that the government has no more business regulating my day to day decisions than it does protecting me from the consequences of them.

I dont smoke weed, but if I want to it should be my right just as it your right to get drunk off your ass and feel up a cousin.
Sorry for the dark comment, but damn.

                • SpaceRacer423 says:

No, we have a Constitution to protect us from a government taking away rights.

I know a lot of people who smoke daily,
almost all of them smarter, calmer, and better read than you.

                • Yeah, I find everybody to be smarter than you.

                • Heza Fraud says:

Smarter than your average amoeba? OK, I'll buy that. Homo sapiens, not so much.

                • "Reefer Madness' syndrome still exists.

                • SpaceRacer423 says:

I guess they dont know about Portugal.

                  They legalized EVERYTHING:
weed, coke, meth, lsd, herion, the works.

                  After ten years what happened?

Hard drug use stayed about the same.
Drug use amongst minors went DOWN.
                  Violent crime went DOWN.

However the key to this is ending government healthcare.
If you want to ruin your body and mind okay,
just dont expect others to pay for it.

                • When I was stationed in Germany, the drinking age was 'old enough to climb on a bar stool and have the marks to pay for a beer.' Yet, I never saw any Germans younger than their early 20s in the bars. Plenty of falling on the floor drunk teenaged American college kids, though.

                • SpaceRacer423 says:

                  1st- thanks for your service.
youre a better man than me.

                  2nd- love the car.

3rd- didnt you once have a dog as your avi?
                  Is he/she still around?

                • Yeah, she's still with us. She'll be 7 in a few months but she's had a tough life. She can barley get around, but she's still happy and not in any apparent pain.

                • SpaceRacer423 says:

                  glad she's still with you.

In my experience, all an older dog needs to be happy is a biscuit and a warm lap.

                • Hank_Scorpio says:

My mother's family is all German, we used to go back to visit every summer. And I can confirm the drinking age and the occupants of the barstools. At least in Wiesbaden.

Never saw any drunk American teenagers though….

                • I was in Berlin, and yeah, there were drunk American teenagers in the bars. Not every time I went out, but often enough to catch my attention.

                • DB523 says:

Hi Hank. I saw you asked "what thread" earlier… it was the slugfest under dcase's comment (third down?) at the "Global Governance vs.." article last night. There was tons of good stuff and it got seriously rowdy…

I lived in Germany 30 years ago… sigh, good place in that lovely little time in history… when was the last time you were there?

                • Hank_Scorpio says:

Oh yeah I had a few posts on there. It was fun slapping Boolean Radley around.

It's been quite a while since I was last in Germany, maybe 20 years ago?

                • Cowboy Logic says:

                  "I smoke weed everyday,………"

                  That explains it.

                • SpaceRacer423 says:

Im not playing with you today-

CL is quick on the draw and you'll be gone.

why do you keep saying that? ;)

                • Patriot2Opine says:

Ok, for the sake of argument I say you may be correct. Now I sit down and get plastered with a bottle of my favorite bourbon and tune up with some good dubage, I get in my car because, at this point good sense has left my cranium. I am tooling down the highway to get a sixer and cross the center line killing you and your family. Have I infringed on your right to toke it up? How about your right to live peacefully? I was exercising my right but my impaired judgment removed yours.

This argument will be circular because it is the nature. We have legal bath salts and incense being sold that mimic the effects of many drugs but not studied to know what long term effects it will have on the mind and body. Does the naked face eating case in Florida come to mind? Toxicology showed "cloud 9" a legal bath salt in his system.

There are many arguments for and against legalizing drugs. If one is legal why should any other be illegal? I prefer clarity of mind and soul in myself and the people I associate with. People are unpredictable sober and even less when drug or alcohol addled so if you want to legalize pot then why stop there? Go for the gusto and just legalize all drugs. Certainly the competition will bring the price down and even the poorest of poor will be able to get some. I can't think of a better way to control the minds of the masses than to have them nicely inebriated can you?

  2. Joseph_of_Steel says:

I suppose, in Obama's world….one could not possibly be following closely…..and not see things his way.

If you don't support him you either are not following closely………….or you are racist.

    YAY!

  3. Markg55 says:

Dang Obama…………… isn't tough running a race in a bus with square tires in a lane littered with your minions?

  4. chopper says:

He sure hopes to his gawd they aren't…………

  5. Nick Shaw says:

    Whistling, graveyard.
Panic should set in any day now.
That's when we need to watch out!

  6. PresidentKardashian says:

To President Kardashian NOTHING is so wrong, that can't be fixed by a million or so more cops, firefolks, and teachers..
He still hasn't noticed the cart is before the horse, and not going anywhere..

  7. ObamaBoi says:

He knows many are. Just hoping to use the "everybody knows…" construct to lead those who would vote against him into believing that none of us care and that most of us approve of his B.S. and will stay home. 'Hopes to make life imitate his art. In a sense, a mimesis?

  8. Heza Fraud says:

Not paying attention, eh? Nine hundred ninety nine readers here beg to differ, President Potemkin.

  9. TexasStomp says:

He knows this just as surely as he knows "the economy's fine." keep on whistlin, mr prezident, keep on whistlin….

    • PresidentKardashian says:

Yup… President Kardashian, has evolved into a whislin' Alfred E. Newman… (What him worry? )
Whistlin' past the Frankenstein economic boneyard… One he created, with his Marxist- Keynesian brain..

  10. tommyd88 says:

No we are not paying attention, we are all too busy just "Doing FINE."

I hate to say it but Bill Clinton was right, Obama is living in a fairy tale world..

How a person so clueless could be elected to the most powerful position in the world is beyond me.

. So many voters are truly stupid.
