"If We Took the Constitution Seriously, Obama Would Be Impeached"

If we took the Constitution seriously, he never would have been allowed to run for the presidency in the first place.

    • UsaAlinskyHeros_Mom says:

That's right Junior, you tell these people how your momma buying your Mt. Dew and Skittles with food stamps is saving the economy. Some people, I swear. Now rub my feet, my bunions hurt.

  2. NotKennedy says:

If we took the Constitution seriously we would amend it to invoke TERM LIMITS and get the career riff raff OUT, forbid year around sessions, and prohibit benefits unbecoming of public service. NO RETIREMENT. NO INSURANCE. And forbid elected representation from relocating from their home states to the District of Columbia while holding elective office.

  3. TanksSherman says:

This is very, very bad….. Ahem, Members of the US House, it's time to draw up articles of impeachment.

As a political gamble for the POS potus, he may bribe hispanics to vote for him, but he will very likely lose way more across the board.

    • JohnK144 says:

Articles of Impeachment? We can't even get a Contempt of Congress vote against holder out of this House.

      • TanksSherman says:

Yeah, well, at least I feel better by stating it. Five years of built-up crap from our Federal government and the leftist take over of America has me almost in a state of disbelief. I want this nightmare to be over already.

    • Roger says:

We need to approach this one carefully.

If someone were to tell Boehner that Obama would have more time for golfing after impeachment, maybe we could trick him into it.

Any better ideas? It's not like Boehner would ever impeach simply because it's his job, or because it's good for the country.

      • UsaAlinskyHeros_Mom says:

Now Junior, ust because your no account father used to golf all the time doesn't mean that it's work. Although he did collect disability when the blade from the windmill hit him on the head.

And I'm so glad Paris Hilton is your girlfriend. ? What? Perez, not Paris, you say? Well silly me.

  4. ret_cpo says:

If WE took the Constitution seriously, our elected officials would follow the oath they took to support and defend it.

  5. Canadianlady says:

Can Mitt Romney walk this thing back when he's elected?

  6. What is this Constitution you speak of? Probably some rightwing hate speech.

/sarc off for the terminally clueless and hopeful liberals.

  7. Billyb9 says:

Hey, Obama is a constitutional law professor! He should know if he should be impeached or not!!

    • ChiTownTom says:

      Oh, he knows…

    • JohnK144 says:

"He'll" decide when "he" needs to be impeached. Like in all other things, he is the final arbiter of the law.

    • Hobbes says:

No, Obama is NOT a Constitutional law professor … he was only a guest lecturer.

      • Billyb9 says:

Hey, do you hear this sound pffffsssst. Know what that is? The air being let out of my ego. I thought I had it nailed.

        • Hobbes says:

The "Constitutional law professor" lie is one many believe. The MSM has been misinforming the public about it since Bambi came on the scene.

I'm sure, Obama, DOES know what is impeachable and what is not … his lectures were not about how wonderful the Constitution is, but, focused on what he calls it's flaws … such as, how it deals with what the Government cannot do instead of what the Government can do. He's a tricky ba*tard, he's always doing stuff that's right on the line of what is legal. This time he may have crossed that line, but, I'm sure he's taken that into consideration and realizes time is on his side, even if Congress pursues this, nothing will happen before the election. :-(

          • onecornpone says:

He's a tricky ba*tard, he's always doing stuff that's right on the line of what is legal.

Yes Ma'am… That is why having Cass Sunstein as his 'rule' czar was so very important to o-Hugo jr.
IMO Cass is the most dangerous man in America.

            • Hobbes says:

What an evil empire we have. I'm trying to get through "We The Living". It's a great book, but, scary. Before Obama and his band of Commies took over, I could have read it and thought this would never happen here, not in this day and age, but, if we don't change direction that's where we are headed. I took some time off to read yesterday while Rush was on. I thought I could read during his ads. Not a good idea. Too many comparisons and I was getting angry and depressed … so I quit reading and did some gardening … it felt good to be able to do something I CAN control.

              • onecornpone says:

I breezed through "WTL" in a record time, for an A R book. Often I reread entire chapters of hers, just to make sure I got the message. However it was in the dead of winter, Feb, so I had hours to devote.

Having read Gulag Archipelago by Solzhinitsyn, many moons ago enabled me to believe WTL can happen here. You wann'a talk angry and depressed… Ugh! I don't know if I would read that one again (but I should).

I did some gardening yesterday, as well. Now I'm headed to the farm to see how much damage my crops incurred from the thunderstorm last night. An employee called a few minutes ago, with sadness and dread in his voice, so I'm expecting the worst… LOL, quite a contrast to your feeling of control, vis a vis gardening… Thankfully I have hail insurance on my crops. ;)

                • Hobbes says:

It's funny you say that … my husband and I were just commenting on that. He's reading "The Fountainhead" now and said that he's going to have to go back and reread "Atlas Shrugged". I often reread chapters, too, for the very same reason you do. (And, always her Philosophy books!)

I've not read GA and from your description perhaps I shouldn't. LOL!

I sure hope the damage to your crops isn't as bad as you are expecting. Hail insurance or not, it's gotta be frustrating to say the least.

It appears your "fans" are up and about. You'd think they'd want to give their little thumbs a rest once in awhile. ;-)

                • onecornpone says:

Fortunately I read GA when I still possessed my youthful optimism. I'm still very optimistic, but there's a point past which I no longer am able to venture. GA was the best, and the worst book I ever read. I should revisit it, for no other reason than to compare the veracity of my lasting impression, to my take now.

The crop damage is in the tolerable range. Way less than I feared from his tone. One can never gauge that, as often, especially on or near the weekend their focus is elsewhere.

Crop-hail insurance is a joke, but years ago the Fed Gov took it over, using the same model they did to grab our healthcare system, so what can one expect? It might almost cover my lost input expenses, if their cranky insurance adjuster is in his 'happy place' the day he shows up. They wait for up to two weeks to assess the damage, so the plants can have a chance to recover, however oddly they allow nothing for the loss of growing days the plant lost from the point it began, the day before the hailstorm. I know that is complicated to follow, but the bottom line is their system is skewed. To add insult to injury, they average the damage across all our acres of that particular crop, so if we have a farm three miles away, that received no damage, the payout is factored downward by a huge percentage. As I said, a joke!

"fans"??? Who cares? Remind me of a bunch of Jr High girls, behaving badly! Twits!

                • Hobbes says:

Ah, yes, the "beauty" of government involvement! It works SO "well" we need to have more! The cranky insurance adjuster sounds like a "fictional" character from one of Ayn's books. Of course, he's not fictional … he's the typical government employee who believes what all his higher ups do … what's the good of power if you can't abuse it.

"The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help." – Ronald Reagan

Oh, and "Twits" pretty much says it all! ;-)

Glad to hear things aren't as bad as they might have been.

                • onecornpone says:

Funny, but the insurance adjuster is never the same guy twice, but they all fit one profile. A few years ago there was a 'rule' change. The farmer is NOT allowed to be present, when the adjuster is performing his assessment of the damages. I think there may be some sort of process for challenging his report, however the process would require six weeks, and probably involve hiring a lawyer. The arbitration would NOT occur on site, but in a conference room. Farmers don't have time to formulate and submit power-point presentations, although late this evening I will take a hundred photos.

Of course your remark about abuse of power is true in government, as well as everyday life. Those who have never had any power, then suddenly find themselves thrust forward into a position if control, are often unable to handle the feelings of superiority. We see this in business all the time. The good thing about biz is, they eventually fail, and go away! In gubment they seem to hold on forever…

What's blooming in your flower garden now?

                • Hobbes says:

Yep, once the government decides it wants to get involved in something, even if it fails, (or maybe I should say, particularly when it fails) they still keep pumping taxpayers' money into it.

Why doesn't it surprise me that, even though you are the customer, you are treated like the villain. Like so many insurance companies … even the ones NOT involved directly with the gov… they all think their customers are bad guys out to screw them. And, by making it so difficult to file a claim, they believe they can avoid keeping their share of the bargain. Blah! Insurance companies … mostly useless, but, you can't not have them, they are the only game in town!

What's blooming in the garden? That's a much better topic!!! The day lilies and some of the ornamental lilies are out. The hydrangeas. Most of the foxgloves have reached their peak, but, a few late bloomers are still hanging in there. Feverfew, wild daisies, blue bells, milkweed, butterfly bush, heliopsis, roses and the climbing roses (3) are still blooming, great year for them. The astilbees still have a few blossoms, but, mostly their flowers are done for the year. Not a great blooming season for them this year … too dry and hot. We got a bit of a shower this morning, but, it's been dry, dry, dry for the last month or so. (Can't believe I'm telling someone in Texas about dry weather… Ha!) Besides the annuals, that's about all that's blooming right now. Lots of stuff just about ready to come out … shasta daisies, lobelia, cleome, perennial salvia, bee balm. And, soon the cosmos and zinnias.

It's been a strange year … the early warm weather has caused many of the perennials (like hostas) to "forget" where they live and bloom early. Although, the herb garden and the few veggies I plant, love it! The early warming of the ground must have been just what the "doctor" ordered, because they are growing like weeds … haven't had this kind of success in years … now if we could just get a nice soaking rain…..

What's blooming in your garden? I hope your garden didn't suffer some of the same fate as your crops!!

                • onecornpone says:

Eh, My flower garden, which oddly enough contained many of the same species as yours, with the exception of hydrangeas, foxgloves and astillbe (I tried, but too dry and windy), was largely killed off by the excessive heat last year. My iris, peonies and some species of salvia survived, along with the Russian sage. I needed to move everything anyway. I had planted shade trees back there, which gradually caused too much shade for successful flower gardening. I was amazed that my day lilies didn't survive. I've always thought of them as a near-weed. Even my lambs-ear and most of my mondo (monkey grass) died out. That stuff is drouth tolerant, and tough as nails. I have seed from most of my plants, that will allow me to replant, although I will be moving everything to a new location. This fall, shade tolerant grass will go in where my flower garden has been for years. The flower garden will transition to a few small focal areas, and I will try my best to stay with regionally appropriate drouth tolerant plants. I have been looking at several in my area, done with boulders, Russian sage, Spanish dagger, et.c. I'm looking forward to a new challenge, hopefully with less maintenance. My veggie patch is minimal this year, consisting of tomatoes, hot peppers, squash, cukes and some herbs.

Hope you get that soaker rain soon…

                • Hobbes says:

Well, I tried the stuff that you have success with and you tried the stuff I have success with. Russian sage (which I love) lasts only a few seasons for me… then, puff, it's nowhere to be found. :-(

I guess, the lesson to be learned is go with what you got and stop trying to fool Mother Nature. One of these days maybe I'll learn. :-D

                  Have a great night, OCP!

                • Hobbes says:

P.S. – From your lips to God's ears … looks like we got rain on the way … you are magic!! :-) ;-)

        Huh?

        • AlinskyHeroUSAAAAiAA says:

          It's true.

You can't be impeached for being black.

          • Billyb9 says:

"You can't be impeached for being black. "

Than why would you want to?

            Not much to ask…

I have just reported your comment to the Department of Homeland Security.

                n-nn-n-n-n

Helen, you're too much. Your self afflicted deception of grandeur would be troubling, if anybody were to take you seriously. But we don't . Go away.

                • AlinskyHerooUSAAAAi says:

Any more death threats for the President while I'm still on the phone with DHS?

                • Billyb9 says:

Let me guess, you're talking to Janet Napaoitono directly. Well tell her she's butt ugly too.

Death threats to the president huh? I haven't seen one here yet. But you can tell him (since I'm sure you have his cell phone number and permission to call him any time) that I'd like to pull on his ears to see if they're real.

                • AlinskyHerooUSAAAAi says:

You want to pull on his ears before or after you have killed the President?

Janet Napaoitono is a Judge now stupid.

                  http://www.google.com/search?q=janet+napolitano&a...

A little goof on spelling her name- but no she's the director of homeland security. Somewhere on this page is the number and web sit to the DHS, if you'd really like to report something real, like the neighbor kids stepping on a bug or sumptin'….

                • ChiTownTom says:

                  I like to call her/him Janet Manpolitano…

                • Billyb9 says:

Poor poor misguided Helen think JN could be a judge. Remember Halfbrieght? Why are liberal woman leaders all butt ugly? They'd be better off claiming to be trolls– oh hey wait a minute….

                • ChiTownTom says:

My favorite is Janet "butt as wide as" Reno.

Helen must watch Fox News. I think she is referring to Judge Napolitano over at Fox because she keeps calling her him. Or maybe she thought that fat neck of Janet's was an Adam's apple…

If I had to guess…when she is not at this site Helen sits in her Mom's basement and yells at Hannity on the TV just for practice.

                  Sad stuff!

p.s Helen is 1/64th Wheredahellarwee Indian…so be nice!

Impeachment? Exactly what I sent to both my reps today and what I told Sen. Coburn's office.

  9. NotKennedy says:

If an impeachment is at hand, let it be of the entire United States Congress. Obama is a nothing, a rankass amateur of no previous accomplishment and a disaster as a President. Obama is SO awful that he is still not worse than Carter and at this point about the only way Obama could be any worse than Carter is to be reelected, something even Jim'uh couldn't fumble on his own.

    • Hobbes says:

Carter was bad, but, Obama is much, much worse! But then, it's like saying kidney cancer is worse than liver cancer … what difference does it make? Just throw the bastard out!

      • NotKennedy says:

        Iran. Carter.

        Department of Education. Carter.

Obama is a rank amateur, a piker of no consequence. He has squandered his entire Presidency with divisiveness, racial polarization and economic sabotage. Better that the US had never lost Iran or the middle-east to Islam. More insidiously, America lost its youth to generations of ill-educated, mal-educated children, mislead by dumbed down, scarcely and rarely competent teachers who work for their unions.

Liver cancer is worse, you will certainly die from it. You can live without one kidney, Sometimes, without any kidneys. We will put Obama into the backroom of liberal abominations, another failed exercise in the mendacity of mediocrity.

Others may see things differently. :-)

  10. Red47 says:

Do you really believe that if articles of impeachment were drawn up for his support of a key voting bloc, that the Senate would pursue it? Dreaming, baby, you're dreaming.

  11. ret_cpo says:

How many folks here contacted their representative and senators? We should be screaming bloody murder at them about this. We must not let up. This is our duty.
