It has FINALLY been said about the NAA-of-CP, with a few Shirley Q Liquor clips in between. This is the rant of all rants. Mittens is not out of bounds either being a speaker at the convention here in Houston this week. You be the judge:
    http://www.ktrh.com/player/?station=KTRH-AM&p...

Listen all the way through to hear some of Mighty Merle's "Fightin' Side of Me".

    • jerseycowgirl says:

That is an A-One, top notch, gold medal, blue ribbon, award winning rant. And without a teleprompter!!

      Thanks for the link.

      • I_Me_Mine says:

I've listened to him for almost 3 years now. Sometimes 5 hours per day. This man has nothing but good intentions to try and uplift the black community, and every community for that matter, including white. He does not have a racist bone in his body. If I thought he did, I would not listen.

Mr. Berry went "all in" with this one. He may be off the air tomorrow. Seriously. He knew the NAACP convention was in Houston, and he let them have it. Both barrels, reloaded, and gave them more.

I'll let everyone know at 8 in the morning if he survives….I hope he does. The truth…it does hurt.

        • jerseycowgirl says:

hopefully he gets to stay. It is just the common sense truth. There have been a few black celebraties who have said similar things. I know Bill Cosby has spoken out about the 'victim mentality" and to finish school and baby mama/daddy thing. Even Oprah has had a few shows related to this. Granted they are not as detailed and cover as much, but I guess it's better than nothing.

He mentioned Sharpton and Jackson as "leaders". I've always been stumped as to why anyone would want to be associated with these clowns. Also dissapointing is that the media gives them credibility by having them on.
Before Al "resist we much" Sharpton got his own show, he was on Fox all the time. Pissed me off. I'm orig. from NY and I remember all the horrible and criminal things he has done.

Hopefully it works out. I'll be rooting for him.

          • I_Me_Mine says:

He's still on the air this morning. Like Rush, the left has been trying to get him fired for the last 3 years. There are two reasons why they haven't been able to do this. One, his advertisers and the support and sales they get from us, his listeners. Two, ratings.

            • jerseycowgirl says:

Yay! One for the good guys. Hopefully some of the people that need to hear that message did, and will learn from it.
              Thanks for the update.

    • chopper says:

"the democratic party is a plantation for black people"………………..classic.

      • I_Me_Mine says:

Congressman Allen West was ummmmm, not invited to speak at the convention, but Romney was. Maybe a question mark should be included. Like OCP stated this morning, maybe mittens is there just for a pie in the face…or a gaffe.

    • chopper says:

i listen to that in it's entirety……it was awesome.

      • I_Me_Mine says:

He now, is out there on a limb, all by himself.
He simply said what has needed to be said for quite some time.
Again, I'll let you all know tomorrow if he's still on the air.

    • Stephen_Brady says:

Oh, Mein lieber Gott!, I love this guy, He's great! It's good to know that there's people up-an-comin' to replace Rush, when he retires, and the RINO hosts, like Medved. Woot! This guy is good! Darned good rantin"!

By the way, Masser Ohdamna, I just wanted you to know that about six hundred thousand white folk died in the struggle to end slavery. Was your teleprompter off, or was this a convenient memory lapse?

      • I_Me_Mine says:

I like him as well. He has filled in for Mr. Levin a few times in the past, but his 5 pm show coincides with Mark's so he no longer does that.

  2. chopper says:

Wow…….we're rapidly approaching 1,400 readers and 60,000 comments.

    Nice job Patriots.

And Thank You Very Kindly Navy Gentleman…………..and everybody else who keeps this site ticking.

    love chopper.

    • I_Me_Mine says:

And as always a thumbs up to you for posting 'This day in history'. Not that you wanted the accolade, but thanks just the same.

      • chopper says:

I apologize for the days that i miss……….or am late.

It's because i was out chasing pretty girls.

        • I_Me_Mine says:

Well…I have noticed your 'minor' lack of full dedication now that you mention it, but if purty womens are involved, all is forgiven ; ))…………………Do you ever catch them?

          • chopper says:

on occasion……….those are the days i don't make it to work either. 8^)

            • I_Me_Mine says:

I saw the list of 'Please excuse Chopper" notes everyone was writing for ya a couple weeks ago. They were hilarious.
              Dear Chopper's boss,
He could not make it in today because he suffered severe leg cramps due to the running required by flotus in her "let's move" campaign. He may be in tomorrow, or not, depending on whether or not his 'cramps' subside.
              Yours truly,
              Cotbychop
              cc; chops mom

              How dat?

              • chopper says:

I did enjoy them all…………and would love to hand a few in……………….but i always tell them i had a………..

                "problem with my eyes".

I couldn't "see" coming to work today.

        • Billyb9 says:

A guy's got to have his priorities straight, that's for sure.

          • GaltFan says:

"Straight" implies some sort of rigid system of preference. Just what are you trying to say here Mister B9? Huh?

            • Billyb9 says:

Oh oh, miss understood again. I was just saying that chopper isn't gay that's all.

              • chopper says:

you too funny. If it wasn't for the prettiest girl in the world calling me at 2 a.m. the past 2 staurday nights in a row…………..i may have had some double time on this coming pay-check. As it is………….i'll just grin and be broke. heh!

                • Billyb9 says:

Uh oh, this is sounding serious. Next thing you know she'll be convincing you that you should be spending more time with her and less at work. Then you'll be working 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Watch them wimen folk, they're sly! Don't go getting all twitterpated…

                • chopper says:

oh billy. i've known (read….."loved") this girl for 20 years. We dated (when i was 29 & she 21) when my kids were young. (like 6 & 7) She wanted to get married & have babies. i told her "sorry"……i got a couple kids to raise.
                  So we split up.
                  Now here it is…………18 years later…………..she's divorced with a 7 yo son…………

and i'm in love all over again…………….i should have never let her get away.

                • Billyb9 says:

Just don't let it happen again!

It took me any my wife several attempts to get it right, (about 10 years of pure insanity, and at times even hatred and disgust towards each other) but after ten years of marriage, we continue to be more and more convinced that God wouldn't have had it any other way. He was building in us a perfect union, and it took some time.

It's weird to think I've known her for 20 years give or take.

                • chopper says:

                  I hate to say it………………but i'm a sinner.

but………………as the good word says……………….we all fall short of the glory of God!

I'd rather be cleaning latrines in heaven……….than calling the shots in hell.

As i approach the gateway to Heaven…………..i got some explaining to do.

                • "It seemed like a good idea at the time" is what I plan to use.

                • Billyb9 says:

The 10 years we had the choppy relationship was prior to our getting married. The 10 years that we'd been married, while not always absolute bliss, would demonstrate none of the pain we caused each other getting there. The only one who seemed to have it all figured out was my mother. Even when J and I swore each other off forever for 2 years, my mother said she still knew we'd eventually be together. Mom was right. Again.

But when we got back together again, she was a completely changed woman- and perhaps I'd changed significantly too, which heightened the effect.

              • GaltFan says:

Miss Understood? Yes, I'm single, but I'm not a girl…

  3. Duuuuh says:

Thinking about how much it feels like family here.

    Thanks NG.

    • onecornpone says:

Hell, this is way better than family… No one expects me to cook for them… ; )

      • Duuuuh says:

Now that just spoiled it. I had ordered you an Obama spatula for Christmas.

      • GaltFan says:

If you weren't so far away…

        Fajitas! ;-)

        • Billyb9 says:

And for my next invention- downloadable Mexican dishes.

          Food will be extra.

          • GaltFan says:

            What about utensils?

            • Billyb9 says:

Mexicans use chopsticks, don't they? (don't tell onecorn, but I'm a Chicago feller too!)

              • GaltFan says:

I faxed someone a paper plate once. She said it didn't work too well…

Chop sticks are made of cellulose; paper is made of cellulose… Hmm… it just might work… Like my faxed paper plate "worked"…

I had to go to one of my old neighborhoods to do a job today (Jefferson Park). It's still holding up as a nice area. It has had another wave of Poles, as well as other Eastern bloc (Russians and Ukies) and a ton of Mexicans in the last 10+ years. Nice that the new residents have chosen to adapt to the character of the area and keep it a good place for families… What neighborhood were you in?

                • Billyb9 says:

My dad moved us out to the burbs when I was 5 (Lombard, then Glendale Heights- close to Addison) But my relatives always lived by the West Loop, so I'd guess that'd be close to the place I started at. My grandparents are both dead, but I think I still have aunts and uncles out that way. They were all working for the city and wouldn't have dreamt of moving with the kind of pensions they were working for…

                • GaltFan says:

Heh heh! COULDN'T MOVE… Chicago still has that rule in place that you must live in the city to get/keep the job and the unsustainable pension. Rahm will shrink the pension, but not change the requirement. I was an Air Force baby/brat for the first few years and "toured" Alaska (born there) and North Dakota (few memories) before I ended up in Elmhurst, and then the city in a few neighborhoods. Back in the 'burbs now…

                • Billyb9 says:

Left for the West Coast when I was 17 and never looked back. I heard my little town of Glendale Heights is unrecognizable now.

        • onecornpone says:

WTH would a Chicago feller know about fajitas?;-D

          Dream on…

  4. Private_Ray says:

    Thank you all.

  5. I_Me_Mine says:

I've never seen you post before PR. Welcome, from a lowly 86-er <—- :) )

  6. Stephen_Brady says:

Navy, I apologize for the post I made earlier today to our resident idiot troll. I generally attempt to be erudite and make some sense out of chaos of this election year. But the troll pushed me over the edge, and there is a limit to my temper. You've given us a place to read and post where there is wisdom, wit, and civility, and I deeply appreciate it.

However, if IT reads this post, I don't apologize to it.

    • chopper says:

Stephen, you said what had to be said,

nobody here will harbor ill will toward an American fighting man defending our God given rights,

      keep firing……………….both barrels………………full speed ahead.

  7. chopper says:

absolutely………….it's a new day (00:08:00) on the east coast………..and that suns up burning bright

5 hours and 44 minutes from right NOW

    pleasant night imemine..

  8. goon48 says:

I am thinking if we don't vote this buffoon out office we are so screwed. We can't afford another four years of this crap.
