U.S. Senator Rob Portman delivers weekly Republican address

Rob Portman came up through the DC ranks as a US Trade Representative with USDA. I'm not sure just how well he served us in that position. I heard him speak on trade issues frequently, but I'm unsure of his general positions. Time to do some research, dig around in his past, find the flaws, since his name is being bandied about as a possible VP running mate to MR. He used the word comprehensive… y'all know that's a NO NO with me.
A point some good folks who comment here seem to be missing is… whomever is chosen to be the (R) VP candidate, will MOST LIKELY be the (R) POTUS candidate in 2020. We can't cede that damn ground to a squishy Lib Republican, if only for that one reason. Cheney had a failing heart, if not he would probably have been our candidate right now. Don't expect these VPs to be happy to ride off into the sunset of obscurity Dan Quayle style. No one fit to serve WE THE PEOPLE would put up with the boredom of that office, only to be rejected for the higher office. Focus, focus, focus…
Sometimes you peeps give me an Excedrin headache!
If this guy gives a commerce speech and a sharpie like Miss Pone is left unsure of his political stances I think it's safe to assume that he is not the answer…to any question.
Mike Lee anyone? Paul Ryan????Allen West?
