I keep hearing the leering Obama telling me that successful people got lucky. It is great he did that. It attaches a strong negative emotional reaction to Obama among the indy voters who are not adherents to his particular ideology. Good.
I heard interviews with Chi-town residents this morning on a local radio show. They were pissed…
I hope he says something even more stupid, though I have a hard time imagining what he might come up with…
All he has to do is spout more Marxist drivel. The oldsters can say “he’s speaking Marxist philosophy. See, he IS a Marxist.” And the hipsters will have to choose between being hip slaves, or regular Americans with a chance at greatness.
Yes ma'am… strong negative emotional reaction… IN SPADES!!!
Except for those handpicked sycophants in his audiences, who are cheering wildly for the Federal government to come take everything WE have, to be redistributed to the entitlement class.
REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH = REPARATIONS!
Spades. Yes.
I have a very rich friend who is black. Her husband, also black is also very, very rich. She is fun, elegant, smart as a whip and elegant. She voted for Obama. I don't talk with her about it because it is not fun. I wonder what she thinks now. She is dyslexic and worked her backside off to become very rich, Her husband is a developer and probably cannot make the claim that he did it all without govt minority status helping him at the outset. Still, both work like dogs and are very good at what they do. I wonder how they feel having their hero tell them they got lucky in a random lottery of life.
I don't know what to tell you about your friend Red. I have known some folks who still thought of themselves as downtrodden, even after working their asses off, to become wealthy. We can only hope they are the smart ones, who GET IT! There are also folks who will vote for the fascist dictator wann'a be again, in an attempt to deny their horrible mistake. You know – the peeps who think he just needs more time? Ugh!
Or, that WE are just not smart enough to understand him! I've heard that argument too!
Yes. The MSNBC, DNC, and every other Leftist outlet tells us that daily. So does he. It used to be a "messaging" problem. Now it's a "story", which infers that the electorate is even less competent than he used to think. Yes, yes. A guy who spent his formative years in a haze of drugs (rather than just recreationally), then scammed his way up the ladder is certainly more of SOMETHING than I am. It isn't "smarter".
The spin never quits, does it?
What America's thinking :
"I wonder how much money Obama raised this week, and did he go up in the polls after he attacked Romney? I hope he did." (liberals)
"Oh my God ! What's gonna happen to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes ?" (left-leaning undecideds)
"How can I help Obama this week? …plan….plan…" (the media)
"The country's going downhill. When's it gonna end?" (everyone else)
Welcome knuckles…
Hi ChiTT
Look what comes wandering in if you leave the door open!
How ya doin' knuckles? Long time no hear from!!!
Hey Billy ! How ya been ?!!
There were a lot of flies in my garden this morning.
They were feeding on the carcasses of a large number of Japanese beetles.
It was possibly the only time in my life that I was happy to see flies.
LOL! E'vng, GF!
Evn'n Tiger
I was getting swarmed by those creatures and they were starting to devour my corn silks. I took out my grape vine (main attraction) and they went after my corn even worse. They were dying, but major damage seemed to have been done. Know what I did? Crushed as many as I could and smeared their guts all over my corn. Barehanded… They really don't like the site/smell/whatever of corpses and blood. The flies were on clean-up duty this morning. My corn? Apparently the silks hadn't fully emerged. In a bad year I seem to be winning a few choice battles…
;-);-p'''
Creative solution! Good on ya GF.
Heh heh! Thanks, Tanks… Based on prior research, creatively applied in desperation… Effective is all that matters…
I have always loved corn. My grandparents were farmers like OCP and grew feed corn. The plant just draws me. Last year I found a variety that sounded good and grew ~75 plants:
http://parkseed.com/corn-bicolor-mirai-301bc/p/05...
Better than they claim. Gets sold out every year. I bought four season's worth of seeds and will add to that supply as I use it so I never run out. I did three plantings this year to stagger the harvest. The first round is approaching 7' tall. Hell of a sight for passers-by…
I get what you say about being drawn to corn. My Grandparents had a one acre parcel after they retired and grew just about everything. The pheasants would come in to the corn patch and every now and then G-Pa would pick one off for supper. I loved being there with them…Later, as a student I worked many of the local farms and one thing that I did every summer was detassle seed corn…. Generally, the farmers would let us fill sacks of the bull row when ripe to take home.
Thanks for the referral to Parks….
I didn't know they don't like the remains of corpses (or is that "corpsman"?). They gotta hate me because if I see any "single" ones I always squish them … barehanded. Sounds disgusting, but, it does give you a sense of POWER, doesn't it? The JB are attacking my Butterfly Bush and some of my roses… I've somewhat thwarted them with Captain Jack (thank you,by the way) and Bayer Bug Repellent… but, some of those little buggers do some damage before they actually succumb. So, you gotta send out the "drone finger" attack! LOL!
Yep, read somewhere in my research that it is actually their blood that they are repelled by. The suggestion was to collect them in buckets of soapy water or traps (don't recommend traps) and puree in the blender and apply. I 'spose it makes sense when you consider that they are out for a bite to eat and sex. What a turn off to be surrounded by blood and guts
!
Yeah, I've done the traps … BIG mistake!!! Shucks, does a soul good to know you still can learn somethin'!
Got peonies? I inherited some. They are next to a wall under an unused bedroom, and the ants invade the house there when the peonies are trying to bloom. Boric acid powder is great for insect control if you use it right (exposure to moisture and pets is the drawback). Kills all kinds of creepy crawlers…
When I have any sort of problem I research myself silly until I find answers. I finally fixed my drill press the other day after successfully trouble-shooting it based on info I found on the web (and from my own prior experiences). I haven't been to a doctor in over a decade, though it has been suggested to me at times. IF you can find quality tea tree oil (good luck!) it has many uses, especially against infections. I had a lot of the symptoms of the elusive "chronic fatigue syndrome" six years ago. It took me a few months to 'cure' myself. I almost never get sick now, and have tons of energy most of the time. The mind is the reason for – and essence of – being. If I ever get bored of that, death will follow soon after…
Never surrender!
:-):-)
Yes, I've got peonies, but, far enough away from the house not to worry about ants from them, however, they do tend to get in through the deck door and the side door on the other side. Diatomaseous earth works pretty good against ants, earwigs and slugs, but, it's messy. Mostly I use Sluggo and Sluggo Plus for the slugs and earwigs. We did use boric acid one year in my compost bin when it was inhabited by a hive of bumble bees.
Since under Obamatax we are going to be subjected to Obamacare, it's good to stay healthy. Keep up the good work with your research … we all may be coming to you for cures when the doctors have all gone away!
,
Doctor Galt has a nice ring to it!
Nitey, nite!
How did you kill the beetles? Those suckers are tough. They go into the soil and keep coming back year after year!
Evn'n Red! The best short term product I know of is Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew. I heard about it on a local radio show about gardening. It does kill them, though not immediately. It slows them to a halt after a few bites, but they linger for hours before they expire. Organic, if you were concerned. As far as the lawn goes, that takes a more committed effort. I haven't done it yet since I am going to have my lawn regraded and reseeded if the drought here passes, but milky spore (milky mold spore?) is supposed to affect the grubs over the long term. It takes multiple applications over the course of a few years, but basically it kills them in the grub stage. You might want to research what you have that attracts them and eliminate what you can bear. Like I told Hobbes, if they are being particularly destructive at a specific time the best strategy is to crush as many as possible and leave the blood and guts smeared on the plant. A less disgusting method is to attempt to knock as many as possible into a bucket of soapy water, toss them in the blender with some water to puree and then spray the affected plants. I squished 'em & left 'em, and the difference from yesterday was WAY dramatic. They can be thwarted, but it is work…
;-);-p'''
Thanks. Gross.
Now I am more interested in where you looked to find remedy for some of the chronic fatigue symptoms. That is much like what I have.
Yep, gross…
I will give you a detailed response on the health thingy in the next day or two. As with all information, you will need to read and consider, and then reach your own conclusions. I felt OLD a few years back, now I feel young again. It takes work and commitment. It was worth it beyond my wildest imagination. You have to want it real bad in your moments of weakness. THAT is the hardest part. It took me ~5months of thinking to make the commitment to make the plunge. I did my own program for about three months when I decided to endure. I lost 30lbs in about 6 weeks and had coworkers wondering if I had some wasting disease… Slept like a baby (the fictional ideal of that!) when I was full throttle. I behave badly plenty now, but clearing the channels made that far more acceptable than it used to be…
Want you to be happy and healthy, but it is your own mind that has to make the decision. Hobbes and Sisty liked my garden offerings on the Capt Jacks and the critter-out. I try hard to offer what is good. The body responds to positive inputs, difficult as some may be to implement psychologically. Happy pigs make for tasty bacon! Yes, you are a 'stranger', but we are acquainted for quite some time now. I naturally want you to be and feel and do well. Tired as hell, but I won't forget. Sunday at the latest…
:-):-)
Okay Red, I thought about it and decided I won't give you a long and detailed explanation. It doesn't work that way, you have to 'discover' it for yourself. I will give you a short story and some resources.
My sister had a mysterious pain in one of her breasts. She went to multiple doctors and even had a couple of MRIs. She was scared even though they couldn't find anything. I gave her my theory/guess whatever and suggested a course of action that was less than $30 and perfectly safe. I even offered to give her the 'medicine' since I had plenty more than I figured she would need. If it didn't work? Meh… She went another 18 months, saw more doctors, had more tests… She called me one day because she had been constipated for nearly a month and NOTHING she tried would make her move. I drove out the next day with a bottle of guaranteed pooper pills and told her how to dose it and what to expect. After a few days all the plumbing was working fine. She said 'something evil' came out on the third day and she felt immediately better. I waited about two months and asked her about her breast pain. She said she had forgotten all about it. That was almost a year ago. She suffered for almost three years with that mystery, and could have ended it 18 months earlier if she had taken my suggestion when I first made it.
Resources? IF you follow this plan to a T, I promise you that you will feel 10 years or more younger:
http://www.candidaplan.com/
I did it for 13 weeks without a single cheat. It IS a challenge. It doesn't matter if you have the underlying problem it is meant to address. It WILL get rid of 'chronic fatigue'. Until I started doing 'bad' things again I slept like a baby and my body functioned perfectly. Oh, and I lost 30lbs in about six weeks and the gals at work were jealous at how beautiful my skin looked and felt…

This man is a radical. I love him. He helped me fix a few things and was also the source for what I gave my sister. He has a 12 part video series on youtube that I just found yesterday (never thought to look until now!) Not for a beginner, but you might want to watch part 1 just to gauge him as a man. If you wish to discuss this further you can email me at galt.backchannel@gmail.com. It's a 'blind' address, and I won't be offended if you use a throw away address of your own. Privacy is important, and we are strangers in a manner…
;-);-p'''
LMAO!!! Levin compared GWB to Nixon… HA HA HA HA HA!!!
Holy COW is Levin pissed off about Mc John Lame and Prissy Sissy Lindsey Graham and Johnny TOO Tan jumping on Michelle Bachman over some deal to do with an operative of the Muslim Bruthas being allowed into the US to visit the WH to plead for the release of the 'Blind Sheik". Have y'all heard about this?
Wha'da'ya'wann'a bet THE Current Occupant sets that bastard free before Jan, 21, 2013?
Yep, I was thinkin' that the 'blind sheik' walks sometime around then when the CHILD is in his last hours and has a tantrum…
If I heard correctly on the radio today, (I wasn't listening too carefully), Michelle is trying to have some kind of confirmation hearing or investigation on Hillary Clinton's main aide whose mother has close ties to the wife of the new Egyptian President. John McLame is against it and later in the day, I believe, TOO TAN jumped in also with some objections to it.
Here it is, and the way Levin lays it out, it sounds like McCain and Graham are approaching the status of traitors… http://www.therightscoop.com/mark-levin-defends-g...
Just read an article on Politico. Interesting, infuriating really, isn't it, that the spineless, brainless Republicans will nod in approval at the corrupt thug charlatan that occupies the White House, vote to raise our taxes and sign away our national sovereignty, allow the Democrats to trample on the Constitution and insult the American people, stand by in silence at the lies and hatred spewed by the Left-loving Lamestream media, but let one of the GOP – a Tea Party conservative, for God's sake – say something like – 'the Muslim Brotherhood is too close to this government let's look into it' – and they are screaming foul from the rooftops wanting to Shut Her Up?
Every one of those candy-a** pu**ies can go straight to He l l.
When you start attacking, as McLame and Graham did, somebody for asking about the MB visiting the WH, you're basically an apologist for the MB, that's why I think those two are being traitorous. It's time to take the 'R' out from in front of their names, they're a disgrace to what it used to mean. And yes, I agree whole heartedly with your last sentence…
IT IS A C O V E R- U P!!!
I guaran-damn-tee ya!!!
A cover up for the GOP's own MB ties?
It wouldn't surprise me. There HAS to be a reason these three RINO MF''rs are so frikken exercised. Are they throwing up a smokescreen… or covering for someone? Is there something 'classified' that might become obvious with a little 'investigation'.
SOMETHING STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN, IMO!
Good observation.
From what little I know about this deal, and I do mean it is little, I wouldn't be surprised if those 3 ol aisle crossers are covering for some Dem… such as Hillary. Hell, they are more Dem, than (R) iMO. I wouldn't be surprised one bit to find that we've caught some damn spy in the Sec State's little flock of 'helpers' and they for whatever reason don't want it to get out before the election.
This type of deal is rarely as straight forward as we 'see' it on first blush. Levin doesn't mess around, so if he needed more info to report on the subject, I respect that – and I believe we'll get the info, with patience.
This makes me curious. I wonder…
No argument from me Corn, I wouldn't put anything past those two…
That aide would be Anthony Weiner's wife—Huma.
They were SHRIEKING that there is not a shred of evidence that there is any connection, blah-blah-blah. That is what the hearing is about. Is there a connection? It is most assuredly something I would move my aide away from if I valued her and thought her innocent of the charge. I didn't get it clearly, don't care enough to look it up, but her family has extensive ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Thanks, Red. I couldn't remember Huma's name. But, I did read on another site a few weeks ago about the tight ties Huma's mother has with the female version of the Muslim Brotherhood and also a member of it who is the wife of the Egyptian President. Here's a few links I've found about Michelle's concern and another article as to why we all should be concerned:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/07/18/mccain...
http://www.humanevents.com/2011/06/30/us-ignores-...
Thx Hobbes. I needed the refresher!
Huma?
Bill and Hillary finally have something else in common besides Chelsea. (…think about it.)
Icky all the way around. Have you seen a photo of her beside s her wedding dress? She is not very happy looking.
Would you be happy if you just married a wiener?-Tom
He looks just as creepy. These two exude serious negative vibes.
I have a tendency to judge a book by its cover and I have a decent record but I have also been burned a few times. These two (…as do many on the left) have my judgement needle pegged to "freaky". Maybe it is my conservative glasses but I don't know how people can look at these two and see people who they believe are serving the people's interests. Very creepy indeed.
Freaky is a kind description. These people ooze darkness. Very bad personal energy.
Yeah, I read Beck's interview with Bachman. These guys need to be put to
pasturetaken to the glue factory during Romney's midterm elections.Thank God, it wasn't just me wondering what the Hell is wrong with those idiot GOP turncoats. If I have time I'll catch Levin on his archives later.
He did a little rant near the beginning of the show, and went off on it again near the end. Said he will have MUCH MORE on this issue, as he is doing very thorough research on the topic, before pinning these turncoat SOBs hides to the wall, He was LIVID with RAGE!
He's been ranting a lot lately, at least so I've heard – I don't tune in to him very much. And Rush, too, has just been wound up like swarm of bees over this Bain crap.
Seems like Levin tries to limit his outrage to a short segment, but that damn Rush is becoming intolerable of late. I haven't been able to listen to the entire program for a couple of weeks. Each day I tune in, at some point in the show, but usually wind up shutting it off after 30 or 45 min. Rush was so repetitive today I couldn't stay tuned. I hate to miss him because he always has some good info at some point.
I figure part of my distaste for his ranting might be my own nervousness over this commodity market volatility. I'm usually watching the grain trade while he's on, so it might just be me. When this little surge in price has fizzled, my tolerance for Rush may return.
I don't get to listen straight through. He was repetitive today, though I liked his angle on the Obama nitwittery.
OMG, I swear we are on the same wave length constantly! LOL! I've been sooo mad at Rush lately!!! My husband and I keep on saying, "Get on with it Rush or get over it Rush or blah, blah, blah, Rush". Geez, one day he took the first hour to talk about TV shows he was watching and some stupid book "everyone" is reading. Then this whole stupid Batman thing. No mention of important things, like new regs on credit ratings, etc. Lately, I'm wondering if he isn't just giving up or just plain losing it. We all are getting somewhat down, but, his job is to keep in touch and he's just missing so much. Sometimes he talks about something that we talked about here days before.
Maybe it's because he's happy now that he's married Katherine and doesn't need show prep to keep him occupied. But, then he should, at least, get somebody to help him. After all these years he should have someone on his staff he can trust for that. But, then he is Rush and he doesn't take criticism nor suggestions very well. LOL! The other day he jumped all over a caller who suggested he stop talking so much about Romney and Bain and talk about Obama.
I'm hoping he's just going through a phase and will get back on track soon. Like you say, he does have some good info at some point, but, it's just getting harder to get through all the junk until he gets to that point.
Guess, we're all a little fizzled these days … I wonder why?
LMAO… We're on the same wavelength except you're so optimistic and positive about why Rush might be doing less homework, and here I am wondering if there is trouble in river city?;-] and perhaps that's the reason for the seeming never-ending aggravation he displays.
I listen to Rush to be entertained and informed. When he fails to do that, I have no problem shutting his program off. I wish he would get back to the mocking style he does so well, but he can't seem to get that rhythm going nowadays. I'm sure there is a lot going on in the background that we know nothing about.
BTW, I believe Rush does have hired help with research for his program, although I'm sure he does the final homework, and selects only what interests him.
I agree, we are fizzled for damn sure…
Nite John-boy!
I hope you're wrong about trouble. I'd like to think that Rush's aggravation and lack of show prep is because (like us) he needs to escape from all this crap too and celebrate what's personally important to him while he can. He's as frustrated and depressed about the way this Regime is taking over as we are. It's hard to accept the threats to our freedoms we are facing today … even for those of us who saw it coming… and, we all deal with it in our own way. I think the way to not only get Rush's rhythm back, but, ours too, is that we need a new President! But, then that's the obvious, isn't it?
I chalk it up to the whole g-d damn country falling apart. When Levin and Rush start losing it, you know things are bad.
I get it. There's a direct relationship between your nerves over market volatility and inability to tolerate Rush's ranting, right? Remember that so next time you shut off the radio you can say to yourself – hmm what's up with the markets?
I've done the same thing with Rush myself lately. Had to turn him off more than usual. The ranting/anger gets to be too much.
Yep Vick – I am a simple person, who lives a simple life. I've found myself dialing back in to Beck, Boortz and Savage more of late, but I always check in on Levin. He always teaches me something, it seems.
Today, we had our driveway resealed. The crew was a bit late getting here and apologized profusely about being late. They work from dawn until dusk and today they got behind in their schedule because of early morning rain. It took them less than the time you could write a check to finish the job. When my husband asked the crew chief (Mexican) how business was, he said that well with the economy the way it is, jobs were down quite a bit. Then he added, "We need a new President!" When I heard that, it made my heart sing. To have that kind of unsolicited comment from a young Mexican here in the center of "Obamaland" was very unexpected … perhaps there is hope after all!
My heart sings just hearing it second hand, entrepreneurs are entrepreneurs, NO matter their race, don'cha know…
.
Exactly. They are hard working, good quality guys and, I'm sure, they are as insulted as any other American that Obama thinks their hard work is something they owe to the government! Gotta love it!
Hi guys. I saw this site mentioned on the new Breitbart last night.
Hi knuckles. You've found a good site.
Glad you made it. We have fun here. Lots of familiar faces, as you have probably already seen…
Did you mean the imitation Breitbart?
LOL… or Faux-breitbart?
Did'ja ever figure out how to understand those drought maps?
I spent 30 minutes looking at them and finally figured it out. Must have been a tenderfoot that put that piece together, because it was NOT clear which text info went with which map. I finally figured out, the top and bottom ones were the most informative.
Sorta. I was going to have to hunt you up because the link to the article went missing and I couldn't reply. I was looking for a hidden government agenda. I am such a free market nut and believe that on the whole futures trading reflects the market and doesn't make the market. I can see that the traders sitting on the sidelines due to fear of government interference, but shortages and surpluses ought to be factored in their trades. These guys make their living essentially leveling out huge price swings enabling producers and processors to have somewhat a stable price point.
Am I missing something else?
… reflects the market and doesn't make the market.
Wow, LW! That could be one of those long-winded discussions ala BZ. I could see myself arguing both sides of that proposition some cold snowy day when I have nothing more to do, however only in relation to ag products and traders propensity to use same as a place to park cash in times of volatility in other sectors (currency traders & operators of large funds) of the markets.
This past winter's disinterest of traders made my case, for traders making (breaking) the market in ag commodities. There have been other instances of this phenom over the last 25 years since I have been soaking up all the various screwball influences on the grain markets.
Sorry, I'm not sure which link you are talking about having disappeared. Was it one I offered? If so, I could probably (maybe) find it. I checked my archive and could find none I have put up missing. Most of the stuff I post comes from
<a href="http://www.farmfutures.com” target=”_blank”>www.farmfutures.com
You might be able to find anything I posted in their files.
It was the link to the article that Navy posted. Could have been a temp glitch but I couldnt find it in Navy's archives.
Anyway, I thought you were alluding to the maps being manipulated in order to influence the futures traders. Without interference, I believe the market works and futures traders are part of the market. Over time the market price will reach equilibrium.
But again, I thought there was something between the lines that I missed.
I wasn't exactly alluding to the maps being manipulated, but rather ALL this avalanche of info being provided as fuel for the spark, and boy howdy has this fire caught a'hold.
The M-W/ Corn Belt had virtually NO snow last winter. Traders knew that. Why didn't that future moisture shortage get traded during the winter/spring months? I believe the administration was suppressing the trade, with a few well placed audits of a choice few firms, who traded in some squirrelly instruments, and commodities. There's more, MUCH more, but I'd have to dig around and think some to dredge it all back up.
yes, I became suspicious that the Obammy henchmen were doing something dirty. They sure have demonized traders.
Yup. I can hardly go there anymore. It's….changed. And I hate that damn disqus.
Well, your welcome to join the rest of us 'rats' that jumped off a sinking ship.
dittos disqustin
Yeah, I was cruising around the site last night. Lots of familiar names (and only good ones…)
Hey knuckles, good to see you aboard. Bring some more over will ya?
Hi Tanks. It was your comment I saw that mentioned this site – thanks. If I see anyone else I'll mention this site (but people don't listen to me very much…).
You are welcome! Curious, was it something written in the comment or was it the site mention in my motto that drew your attention? I only go there to find others from the old crew…..
It was a comment to another old regular (I think it was EOD). I just caught it cruising through a thread, then I saw it in your motto. I was just about to give up on that site forever, too, when I saw it.
Thanks…good to know. If everyone here would do the same with the motto in disqus and cruz the Breitbart sites, we could pick up more of the old crew. Peace to you.
That happened with the rest of us too. Navy Gentleman gives quarter to all inquiries. They got the old Breitbart website name, but Navy Gentleman captured it's soul It's the real deal.
You can't leave messages over there about CV 2012, they get erased (my experience) But my Disqus profile advertises blatantly….
KNUCKLES!!!! Dam, I was lookin' all over for you. Glad ya made it!!
Evn'n
Evnin' Galt. It's good to see knuckles found us, huh? I keep looking for more of the old crew but they don't show up too often on BB. I think they all hate that new site, too.
I totally gave up on BB a long time ago. Not worth the BS to hunt for what you want, and an insult to sign in to disqusting for the 'privilege' of commenting there whenever you find a new article of interest. Seems my disqusting account stays signed in for most other sites I visit that use it. Andrew would be mortified with what they have done… All the better to remind us of the value of what NavyG has provided for us…
The dam thing makes my eyes hurt. That awful font and the light red letters….arrrrrg! I can't read the comment thread at all. I just scan a few pages looking for friendlies.
Sometimes, I can't log into disqus and I don't know why. It's weird. Most sites I'm automatically logged in. I think the Kids running Breitbart have a huge commenter-phobia. They're probably glad we left.
Sisty !!! Holy sh!t !! Damn glad I made it !! I never figured I'd find all you guys. I saw 2 or 3 here and there. I never thought,…I almost gave up….(sniffle)… I'm getting misty….
Now doesn't it feel like you died and went to commentaire heaven?
It does, Billy. It does.
Oh, Dam…sniffle, sniffle…..I missed you!!
Puleeeze. There are men here. No blubbering.
Sniffle…..I went through a whole box of kleenex last night…..
Ok, ok. Umm. Buckup kiddo. We got work to do here. There, there.
Well, they'll just have to Man-Up and deal with it. ; D
Ditto, sis. When I got back from the bar last night and saw you here I said : well, I don't remenber what it was…but I was very happy. I never thought I'd see you again. I figured everyone here just went their own way (away from the "new and improved" BB).
If you have any questions anyone here would be happy to help. If you have some time hit some of the tabs below the picture at the top and you will get a good feel for the place. Most of us here are old Breitbart posters who migrated here after the "Big" change. It is the closest thing I have found to the old Bigs and it uses Intense Debate. NavyGentleman and has staff have done a great job building this place and it gets better everyday. Enjoy!
"and it uses Intense Debate"
And it suddenly occurs to me that I have yet to experience ANY trouble with Intense Debate on this site, as opposed to all the problems we used to have on the Bigs. Interesting.
Oh no, don't go there John. That subject will make some of the natives restless.
It is all the administration.
I will be continuing my back channel posts in a day or two and administration will be a part of it.
Thanks. I used to post on the old Breitbart. I remember Navy Gentleman, and most of you guys.
Last night when I came here I saw Cowboy Logic and a few others, I knew it was the old Breitbart.
Yep…the old Breitbart. NavyGent has almost everything here but Andrew himself and I swear Andy is here in spirit.
See you around…
"Most of us here are old Breitbart posters "
Watch who you're calling old buster!
Oh, I didn't mean you were old…because Billy be nine.
On a serious note…how is momma?
She''s doing real good. Some days are worse than others, but she was told it would be several weeks before the medicine took full effect. She's not very patient…
Great news. It sounds like all the prayers are working…probably some good doctoring helped also.
The key thing is staying on the meds until they fully kick in and then keep on them as long as need be.
She needs to learn to be patient or learn to be a patient.
Okay, okay – totally off topic, but I gotta ask. It came down to you or Chopper, and you're the one that's around right now. I have a duty-specific vise, and the crank handle wore out the dimple in the shaft to the point that I decided to drill and tap it so I could thread a screw into it. I grabbed the nearest size tap I had. I couldn't read the thread due to glare, but it said to use the #16 drill bit. I got it tapped real nice, but couldn't find a screw in my collection of junk jars to match, so I took the tap to the hardware store and matched it up to a 10-24 NC thread. Turns out that it's a 12-24 NC, but nobody around here sells that. The 10-24 friction fits good enough to work well, but I am considering re-tapping up a size – unless I can find the right screw.
WWBB9D?
He would use some bubble gum and baling wire, or talk to it until it wore out and complied.
Ah, but what brand of bubble gum would he recommend? I had thought of the baling wire, but the shaft steel is too cheap quality-wise and wouldn't hold up… I TRIED talking to it – sweet talk, threats, pleading… No dice. Perhaps I lack some inanimate communication skill or talent?
Glaring works well. Very intimidating.
The choice of gum is best left to the expert. However, Lib is onto something with the glare.
You're a manufacturing engineer and you're not telling us, huh?
Just speculating, funny one. Just speculating. Did you talk it into submission?
Regardless of the recent rumors, I am not in to alternate lifestyles.
How dull.
McMaster Carr- they deliver next day- and you'll get a box of 100 for the price of three at the hardware store (even if they did have it) If you'd gotten a 12-32, you could have used an M5 screw that would have come close enough to the size, but alas- not what you're looking for. Another option is that you might be able to use a helicoil repair kit to bring it back to your 10-24. The size of thread would be real close to that.
I'd way try the McMaster. You might have to wait an extra day, but you'd save yourself some bucks.
Is it possible to up it to a 1/4-20?
I take that back about the M5 x .8 screw- I looked at my chart and didn't see a 12-32 anyways, so it wouldn't have mattered BUT If you have a M5 threaded hole, a 10-32 screw would go in albeit a bit loose… But neither here nor there. I still suggest Mcmaster Carr, Granger, or opening the hole up to 1/4-20 (any hardware store ourghta have those- in any variety… )
Yesterday, Texas used a single drug to execute a POS thug. This replaces the 3 drug 'cocktail' that is in short supply (ahem, cough).
If you can stand it long enough, here is the PBS / AP response to the execution : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt8lBzGz9gk
They never ONCE mentioned his heinous, cold blooded act of murder of a Dallas man.

Here is what Texans think via Ron White : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt8lBzGz9gk
Did you mean to post the same link twice? I was looking forward to some Ron White…
Don't know how that happened but this is what I meant to post : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgQRgT15f9U
No big deal…I was just giving you a heads up. Thanks for the link.
Facing questions about why she and other top Congressional officials won’t release their tax returns, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) downplayed her previous demands for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to release his, calling the issue a distraction. – http://www.rollcall.com/news/nancy_pelosi_downpla...
I smell smoke
Don't need to be an injun to read those signals!
. . . calling Elizabeth Warren
I think she outghta release her tax returns, don't you? Then we can see how many millions she made on that Visa inside trader deal.
She has to release her tax returns "so that we can find out what is in it".
I am sure we'll like it when it becomes public.
Circumstantial evidence suggests that both Pelosi and Feinstein are hideously corrupt. Both strike me as puppets for their wealthy husbands. Pelosi is the bigger dunce, which may explain why she never "advanced" to the Senate. I think ALL CONgress Critters should be subject to an anal exam including release of annual tax returns and periodic drug tests. Want influence over trillions? Submit…
Why an anal exam? To pull their heads out?
My daughters have been wanting to start a Lemonade stand for a while, so my wife and I finally put them to task on it. As the question came up on how much we should charge per glass we sat down and broke it down. We already have the lemons (I have a wonderful lemon tree that's always full of lemons), we have the filtered water, the ice, the sugar, the cups, the signs- OK.. Fine and good, in materials we had about 13 cents per cup.
Then we went into the licensing, the inspection fees, the local ordinances, etc etc and our final cost per cup was $5.35. That's what it would cost us- no mark up yet. Plus sales tax…
But wait there's more!
I told my daughters that we'll chance going around all the Barrack-racy, because in my town there's always cart vendors who the city don't require that from. We have 5 to 10 ice cream carts and churro carts passing our house a day. All driven by illegal aliens. And the police wouldn't dare stop them for their papers now would they?
So my daughters are experiencing the biggest lesson of all- they were able to charge a fair price because of reverse racial profiling. And their Lemonade stand prospered at $.50 a glass, pretty much because of trickle up Affirmative Action….
Did you check out the link I sent you about employment here in Texas?
I'll go back to it tonight. They'd been working me 11 hours + a night. I go home, sleep wash and go back to work. I'm limited to what I can post and the times I can view other things…
Aww, ain't that sweet, Billy. Trickle up Affirmative Action is so heartwarming.
No, really, it's cute.
Bb9 is a gift of comedic irony to us for enduring this obnoxious political climate. What a joy that we can laugh about such a simple exercise.
If I would have had a little more time to proof read, I would have probably not put that part in They are the cutest blond girls in the city– maybe the only blond girls in the city….- they definitely had the racial profiling thing going for them..
Except The Man will have no qualms leaning on a legal American child.
Aww Red, I'll say it.
The Man will have no qualms leaning on a legal Anglo American child.
As DB says, "There I fixed it, for ya"…
thx.
Well no, he stopped by so my daughters gave him a free cup of lemonade and thanked him for his service.
Did I ever tell you about the lemonade that comes from the lemons on my lemon tree?
Bribery. OR “softening”. Nothing wrong with being in the good graces of the reasonable.I miss fresh lemons from the tree.
